Stainless steel heat shield that bolts on to AWR Racing’s updated NC engine mounts – great addition for those running aftermarket exhaust headers If you are running an aftermarket exhaust header, it is recommended to run a heat shield for bushing longevity to prevent the excessive heat from melting the polyurethane bushings – especially if you are running a 62 or 70 durometer bushing option in your engine mounts. If you are running a stock header, a heat shield is not necessary but can still be installed.
